Jonas Brothers on Miss Utah's Viral Stumble: 'We Felt Her Pain'
Feed-twFeed-fb

Miss USA pageant co-host Nick Jonas stood feet away from Miss Utah when she verbally stumbled during the competition's nerve-racking interview segment on Sunday. The flub went viral, essentially overshadowing the winner's crowning moment

The Jonas Brothers can relate — they've had their share of unfavorable moments make waves online. Joe Jonas cites the time when he fell on broken glass at the American Music Awards.

"We felt her pain," Joe told Mashable after performing at the O Music Awards (see photos below) on Wednesday night"Everyone has accidents like that and we felt for Miss Utah because it was tough and it didn't obviously come out the way she hoped." Read more...

Top 10 Twitter Trends This Week [CHART]

Twitter Chart Image

In a rare occurrence for Twitter, a holiday trend topped our chart for two weeks in a row. Father’s Day remains in the number one spot with a mix of sentiment and related hashtags.

International soccer returns to the number two slot after a week on the bottom rungs, and buzz about the NBA Draft kept basketball top-of-mind for tweeters, even after the championship games have come and gone.

To see the full list, check out the chart below. Because this is a topical list, hashtag memes and games have been omitted from the chart. The aggregate is based on Twitter’s own trending algorithm, and does not necessarily reflect raw tweet volume.

Top 10 Twitter Trends This Week [CHART]

Twitter Chart Image

Ah, Twitter — the only place where pro sports, pot smoking, boy bands and nipples can co-mingle without messy side effects like jail.

Soccer, a trend that rarely leaves the top Twitter topics, came in at number one this week, after a player from Madrid dropped his team’s tournament trophy from the bus during a victory parade. Butter fingers like that are a clear indication this guy chose the right profession.

Everybody’s favorite psychoactive drug-themed holiday “4/20″ came in at number two, as people from around the world tweeted about their “friend” who was planning to “celebrate” the occasion, I assume with brunch and gifts.

And if you were suffering from “Obsessive Jonas Disorder” this week, you weren’t alone. Thousands of fans tweeted their symptoms, sending the boy band to number three on this week’s chart.

To see the full list, check out the chart below. Because this is a topical list, hashtag memes and games have been omitted from the chart. The aggregate is based on Twitter’s own trending algorithm, and does not necessarily reflect raw tweet volume.
