Soup.io will be discontinued :(

Dear soup.io fans and users,

today, we have to share very sad news. Soup.io will stop working in less than 10 days. :(

It's breaking our heart and we honestly tried whatever we could to keep the platform up and running. But the high costs and low revenue streams made it impossible to continue with it. We invested a lot of personal time and money to operate the platform, but when it's over, it's over.

We are really sorry. Soup.io is part of the internet history and online for one and a half decades.

Here are the hard facts:
- In 10 days the platform will stop working.
- Backup your data in this time
- We will not keep backups nor can we recover your data

July, 20th, 2020 is the due date.

Please, share your thoughts and feelings here.

Your Soup.io TEAM

13 Weirdest Things at the 2014 Grammys
Feed-twFeed-fb

No awards show would be complete without a couple celebrities cutting loose, and the 2014 Grammys were no different — though no one could've suspected it'd be Yoko Ono with the best moves.

The evening started with Pharrell's hat stealing the spotlight on the red carpet, followed by Arby's stealing the conversation on Twitter. Goths and aerobatics were a big trend, and Neil Patrick Harris won the evening with an applaudable photobomb

If you missed the show, or haven't quite gotten enough, check out all of the nutty things that happened Sunday night. Read more...

John Mayer and Katy Perry Look Silly on Fake Bull in New Music Video
Feed-twFeed-fb

Lovebirds John Mayer and Katy Perry throw real-life couples onto a mechanical bull and into their new "Who You Love" music video.

The duo takes a ride on the fake bull, too, looking quite ridiculous in the process:

John Mayer Katy Perry Video.jpg

"Holding on for dear life!" Perry told her 60 million Facebook fans Tuesday

To help build buzz for the video, Perry and Mayer on Tuesday's Good Morning America discussed their relationship and their decision to make this song and video.

“The very first thought was you can’t do that ... then the more I thought about just the music part of it, it made perfect sense, even if I didn’t know Katy, it would have made perfect sense," he said. "I went in the other room, called her phone. ... It's a pretty big moving target to be a couple and have a song, but I think there's an authenticity to it when you hear it.” Read more...

Katy Perry Tweets 'RIP' to Fan Who Covered 'Roar'
Feed-twFeed-fb

Sixteen-year-old Olivia Wise, whose cover of Katy Perry's "Roar" soared to more than a million YouTube views since October, died Monday of inoperable brain cancer

Perry heard about Wise's passing and took to Twitter to remember her:

Olivia Wise, I can hear you singing with the angels now. Your spirit & strength has inspired me & so many others... May you rest in peace.

— Katy Perry (@katyperry) November 26, 2013

Wise's viral video (watch, above) shows her in a wheelchair singing the song's encouraging lyrics in Toronto. It was her first time in a recording studio.

"She couldn't walk or stand, she didn't have her full breath or the energy she used to, and she was managing her new pains and new limitations," the video's YouTube description says. "While her physical condition was rapidly fading, her spirit remained untouched." Read more...

Katy Perry's Victorian Dreams Go Up in Flames in 'Unconditionally'
Feed-twFeed-fb

Katy Perry has found an era that suits her perfectly — Victorian

The pop star went retro-chic in a visually stunning music video for power ballad "Unconditionally," the second single from her "Prism" album. There are gowns, snow, pearls, flower petals, an owl, underwater scenes and a bed on fire — so nothing really out of the ordinary for Perry

Yes, unconditional love sometimes feels like being hit by a car... Or being on fire... How does it feel to you?

— Katy Perry (@katyperry) November 20, 2013

The singer recently told MTV that this music video would be a departure from her other videos because it "doesn't have a complete narrative." Read more...

Boy With Autism Singing 'Roar' Brings New Meaning to Katy Perry Song
Feed-twFeed-fb

Jack Robbins is a champion and you're gonna hear him roar — for the first time ever

The 8-year-old from Texas has severe autism, leaving him mostly nonverbal (apart from basic words or repeating short phrases when told). He doesn't communicate emotion or create his own sentences, that is, until he heard a Katy Perry tune

Robbins' parents began noticing their son continuously repeating phrases and sounds. Assuming it was nothing, they ignored it, Robbins' mom, Carla, explained in the video's YouTube description. Jack's dad eventually realized that his son was singing the popular song "Roar." Read more...

14 Ways Katy Perry Can Help You Take Life Less Seriously
Feed-twFeed-fb

Today Katy Perry turns 29, undoubtedly celebrating with a giant tiger cake and a brand new cronut bra

The pop star is known for her hit songs and candy-colored (and possibly flavored) outfits, but she also has a knack for not taking things too seriously, judging by her constant steams of silly face.

And you too can be as easy going as Katy, with or without the purple hair

Children's Hospital Roars in Heartfelt Katy Perry Lip Dub
Feed-twFeed-fb

The Children's Hospital at Dartmouth-Hitchcock is tugging at the Internet's heartstrings with this super sweet lip dub of Katy Perry's "Roar." The video, above, includes several hospital patients, doctors, nurses, parents and administrators jamming to the uplifting tune.

The Dartmouth-Hitchcock Hospital, based in Lebanon, N.H., created this video as a thank-you to the participants of its annual CHaD HERO Half Marathon & Ripcord 5K. The marathon raised $650,000 this year

This isn't the first time a children's hospital has inspired us with creative lip dubs. Last year, kids at a Seattle hospital lip-synced Kelly Clarkson's "Stronger" and children at a Cincinnati hospital sang along to Flo Rida's "Good Feeling." Read more...

Katy Perry Roars With Nokia Phone in New Music Video
Feed-twFeed-fb

Katy Perry has literally taken "Roar" to new heights in the No. 1 song's music video. The pop star galavants in a jungle with a Nokia phone in tow, wears animal print and unsurprisingly roars in the face of danger. The creature-filled video arrived Thursday, one day after "Roar" dethroned Robin Thicke's "Blurred Lines" for the top spot on Billboard's Hot 100 chart

After her plane crashes and her male cohort gets mauled to death, Perry must adjust to the new terrain in true Tarzan style. Eventually, as her lyrics note, she roars louder than a lion to claim her leafy throne and become queen of the jungle Read more...
